Hello y'all!

I must admit, Court, I am a fan of the yellow. It's just so sunshiny bright and all that jazz. So here's the Lishka update:

This week has been a rough one. I think everything just kinda crashed and I had some not so good nights this week. Several late ones and feelings of being overwhelmed. But now it's Friday and everything is all good. Lol, I live for the weekends and for time to just sit and think. Or read for pleasure. I haven't done that in weeks, and I think after I write this I'm going to go make myself some lunch and then sit and read until I have to go to math class. It will be nice. Oh, I can't remember what I last put in here, but I kicked ass on my ochem test: a 98 baby! I was so happy, it like made my day. But now things are starting to get harder in there so I definitely need to keep on top of it. I actually like my Spanish class, we write a bunch of short papers and I find class interesting, so I don't watch the clock, it's rather pleasant.

Last weekend I saw two concerts: Lifehouse and Blessid Union of Souls. They were awesome. That guy who is the lead singer for Lifehouse is incredibly good looking. Makes me want a guy who will write songs and profess his love to me through the guitar. Oh I'm in love. Lol, I'm taking applications so if any of you know of a guy like that, let me know!

Oh and good news, I made AB Site Leader! yay! I can't remember if I already said that or not, but tomorrow I'm going some teambuilding camp all day and then Monday or Tuesday I'll find out who my partner is and where I'm going. So exciting.

The weather the past couple days has been absolutely gorgeous, just the right temp, so I'm going to make a sandwich and sit on my balcony! Love you all!

This is Lishka saying "hola!" and I hope you all are surviving the week! :)

Oh, and I think I kicked some butt oh my ochem test. Monica, you should come to Xavier, things aren't as difficult here. :) Course I'd love to be at Notre Dame, so maybe we should just split ourselves down the middle and live a double existance. That would be cool.

Tomorrow is Friday, hooray for that, but boo for a busy weekend.

I find out at some point today or tomorrow whether or not I'm a site leader for AB...so keep your fingers crossed!

It's really sunny and warm here. I'm actually kinda hoping that it cools down soon.

Met another kid from Loyola University in New Orleans who's here for a semester. He's a nice guy. Go Jesuits in taking in students and honoring their scholarships even though our semester had already started. I heard lots of schools were turning them away. We've got about 25 of them here I think.

Um, what else? Oh, we got our butts kicked in my softball games last saturday, but that's okay, it was fun, and we get to try again this Saturday.

I've been hanging out a lot more with nice boys as opposed to crazy ones. I think I'm over "said boy", the one I would talk about all summer long. Haven't seen him much. But when I do it's just like old times. Bah.

Oh, and Court, be on the lookout for the journal, I'll probably mail it Saturday.

Love you all and miss you bunches! Take care!

Lishka :)

Oh, and edit:

Would anyone like to claim the entry right below this one? You didn't leave a name. :)

"And friends are friends forever
If the lord’s the lord of them
And a friend will not say never
’cause the welcome will not end
Though it’s hard to let you go
In the father’s hands we know
That a lifetime’s not too long to live as friends."

Cheesy and totally overplayed song, I know, but it's true. Dport, thanks for coming to my rescue today in my somewhat disguised call of distress. Your phone call definitely made me feel better. All these silly boys that come and go in our lives, we might get close to some of them, but they can never ever take the place of you girls. Cause I'll always be there when you need me, and I know you'll do the same for me. So yeah, things here at Xavier aren't the greatest right now, but it'll pass. I think I just need to slow down and take time to actually appreciate the little things in life.

But to bed I go. Physics test in the morning. Oh boy! Love you all!

Just for the record, the pointless story of the day that Klink posted is officially number 23 in the ongoing repetoire of pointless stories of the day. If you would like, I can copy and paste the previous 22 on here so that you may all reminisce on those from last year.

As for me, I'm in a much better mood than I was the last time I wrote. I had an epiphany, so no worries. I wrote about it in my other xanga, if you want details. Crazy what revelations you can have during a Mass.

So yeah, I'm much more calm this week, that and it's not as crazy. My dad is coming on Thursday and is taking me to the Cheesecake Factory. Yum. I love cheesecake. Katie and the other two girls I'm currently rooming with have found a house for next year. (Most upperclassmen live off campus here.) So that is exciting stuff, and it's really close to campus (practically across from the admission's office).

Organic chemistry sucks crunchies. But that's only because I'm lazy and don't want to take the time to actually memorize the stuff. Calc three is bizarre, I'm almost regretting taking it, but it is interesting even though it's hard.

Now and Then is an excellent movie. It resembles our lives entirely too closely.

My roommate Christine has nothing random to say. Sorry Klink, but I admit, I am rubbing off on her, because she has said some pretty random stuff lately, though she claims it's been her whole life, though she's now admitting more around me. I love randomness. We have a Wall of Intelligence by our stairs where we record quotes that we've said that make no sense or sound really strange out of context. My favorite would be:

Me: Boys are stupid, throw rocks at them!

Christine: How about grenades?

Katie: No! Exploding bombs!!!

Me: Katie, what do you think hand grenades are?

So yeah, stuff like that. Anyway, I must go, for my homework beckons. I hope you all have a great day!

Love,

Lishka :)

Hola mis amigas,

I hope this week has been treating you well. Things here are a little rough. I am once again trying to do too much like I did at BD, and as a result I really don't have much time to relax, but I'm working on it. Christopher is being an idiot. We live on opposite sides of campus this year (approx. 10 minute walk), and for some reason he thinks talking once a week is good enough. I don't know. I miss my friend from last year, and I'm trying to figure out what happened but it's not working too well. But my current roommates are awesome, and we hang out together a lot. Plans are in the works to get a house next year (most upperclassmen live off-campus), so that is very exciting.

Anyway, on to happier things. Dport, let me know when you mail the journal so that I know when to look for it because I don't check my mail that often. My dad is coming to town this week for a conference, so we are going to dinner next Thursday at the Cheesecake Factory, which is awesome!

I want to let you all know that I miss you lots, and I think about you often. I know that I am horrible about keeping in touch be it through IM or on the phone, but I definitely haven't forgotten you all. I check your away messages about 20 times a day, haha!

Well, it's off to bed for me. Love you!

Lishka :)

Oh, and Klinks, try and relax and take a break sometimes and tell some pointless stories! You know you want to. :)

Hola mis amigas!

So yeah, kudos to Court for coming up with this, I think it's brilliant!

Things are going well. I've been running around crazy nuts busy, and it doesn't seem like it is going to let up any time soon. I have a "datebook" and I have to use it. Nuts. I've already hit time conflicts, like today when I'm trying to switch one of my classes (diversity class, just one weekend long) to a different one because it conflicts with something to be an Alternative Breaks Site Leader. And that, by the way, I am so psyched about. Remember when I went to Colorado last year? I'd be doing something like that again, but a different place, and me and one other person would be leading it. I've had about three people come up to me (site leaders before) and say that had recommended me, as well as the President of the club who said I made his day when I told him I was going to apply. Which is awesome because it means I'll be more likely to get the trip I want (International baby! Like Ukraine, El Salvador, Mexico, or the Dominican Republic). So that is very exciting stuff.

Classes are alright. Is it sick that I actually like my calc 3 class? Oh and my ochem professor is absolutely captivating. Mezmerizing (sp?) and all that jazz. I just hope his tests aren't hard, but he is an awesome lecturer. I actually like my spanish class this semester as well, so that is good. Though I had to write a paragraph about llamas yesterday. Strange, I know!

I hate boys. Though there is one that I have my eye on, though I don't think he's interested in me. He is definitely attainable though, like not out of my league or a jerk or anything. So yeah, who knows. I wish I had a boy like Monica's boy! :) haha

So can anyone attest to exactly who has the journal at the moment? I want it. :)

I love you all and miss you lots! I hope all is well!
