Hey girls!!

So, it's been a really long time since i posted, but a lot has happened, which is simply awesome. First, well, this is kind of news i guess, but i don't remember if i told any/many of you guys about texas guy. Wade be his name and he and i became pretty good friends at camp, only, he had a girlfriend. That's right, had. Last sunday night he called me (we talk every week or two) and we were just talking and then randomly out of nowhere he's like "so, i broke up with my girlfriend.." it's important to note here, that he didn't ever talk much of her, like ever, like he mentioned her once to me in passing and i knew from others that he did indeed have a girlfriend. Anyway, he went on to say that they had been broken up for about a month now, so he was probably gonna start dating around soon. So, i was like, 'okay, sounds like a good plan, that's what i would do.' Then he was like 'so, at camp, i got close to a few people, well, like, you.' (he was stuttering a little, it was pretty cute) and then went on to say, "well, what i'm trying to say is, if you lived near me, i would definately ask you on a date." I replied that i would definately go on a date with him. Then we talked about how it's not cool that we live 16 hours away from each other, cuz it's not. It's my luck that when i finally like a guy (who's an awesome good, Catholic guy at that) and he likes me back that we live 16 hours away, huh? Anyways, so that was my excitement last weekend, we've been playing phone tag since.

Then, the week got better, my friend Christy from camp came and visited thursday night, I made 250 dollars on wednesday doing a photo shoot for sallie mae, and i had a retreat last weekend which was awesome. Talk about the best week ever, compared to the previous worst week ever.

So, yeah, now i'm just floating along, because i needed that retreat and it definately put me more at peace with life and what-not, it was much needed. Except it made me start thinking about my vocation again, which can stress me out at times, but not really that bad right now.

Things around here are good though. Freshman have finally settled in (and me), friends are great and yeah, i'm much more at home than last year. So, yeah. That's where i'm going to leave you after all my ramblings of real-life far off prince-charmings and the crazy life of, well, me. i hope you enjoyed.

I love you all and miss you!!!!

God bless,

Lindsay

Hey guys!!

I gotta go to dinner soon, as i'm on-call tonight, well, all weekend actually. Things are going pretty good here- insane-but good. i think i'm getting used to the insanity, it reminds me more of the craziness of highschool than my more relaxed year last year. RAing is going well, and the faith based LIFE groups i started are going awesome as well. I'm keeping very busy with classes for sure, which will perhaps get busier as i am very seriously thinking about a double major with pastoral leadership, if not, a double minor with pastoral leadership and special education. i start at my catholic school for one hour a week next monday, yay!! i'm excited. Monday was the worst day ever. I'll tell you about it :). sunday night my eye was really red and pussy, so i thought i might have pink-eye, though it didn't itch. When i found that out, i nearly cried because the next day was already insanely busy between classes, writing a paper, finishing a project and finishing up stuff for LIFE. Then i couldn't sleep well last night, mostly cuz next door was playing classical music and i can't sleep with music at all, i had almost given up at 5 am and gotten up to do homework, but good thing i didn't cuz then i got 4 hours of good sleep. Then i went to the nurse and discovered that i didn't have pink eye (thank goodness). Then classes, and a very stressful day (besides fun LIFE groups). Then i was up til 2:30, woke up at 8:30, classes and what-not- stress over. Then Tuesday night i was on-call and i was stupid and gave myself a virus through AIM even though i know better. So since then i've been working on updating and fixing my computer, which i think is finally fixed. The weekend will be so nice, i can't wait. So, that's my week, i'm get on a six hour of sleep schedule, and getting used to it, i get more done with it. next week looks a lot better. I miss and love you guys and hope you have wonderful weekends!!

God bless,

Lindsay

Pointless Story of the Day #????

I'm glad i don't live in ancient Rome, but at the same time, it would be really cool, i mean, public baths? though, i don't really think i'd want to go to one of those, but all those aquadeucts and cafe's and cool architecture and theater (though that's more the greeks). I don't think i'd like the gods and goddesses though, even though they're cool, cuz i like knowing our God. Anyway, even though it'd be cool to live there, i already kinda do, cuz America is kind of like ancient Rome, i mean we have somewhat the same gov't (republic, democracy, almost the same), same symbols, and even some of the same characteristics that led to the downfall of Rome!! Wait, that's not good...well, ancient Rome is cool, (but i wish we had seven hills, but doesn't the nati??? maybe that's my imagination...)

Currently Watching
Now and Then
By Christina Ricci, Demi Moore

So, I'm not still watching the movie, but I just was, and I thought of you guys the whole time. It seriously is one of the best movies ever. And even though i didn't know any of you til like the end of 8th grade/beginning of Freshman year, that movie is still us. I miss you all and we definately should plan a day, either over Christmas (though that will be busy), or next summer when we all get together and just hang out, all day. You all are the best and I am so thankful to have you as a part of my life. Thank you for always being there. You all rock.

Oh , and while I'm on this topic...I was thinking while watching this movie how i can't wait to see you all again, especially because i feel like i hardly saw you this summer...besides the fact that i was gone a lot, i wasn't around much even when i was home...I'm sorry. I hope you'll understand how difficult it was to babysit all day, get stuff done, spend time with my family (who through college i've become very close too) and what-not. I'm sorry that I didn't see you guys more, especially some of you who i usually see a lot more. I look forward to next summer when i'm 95% sure i'll be home and get to see you all much more often.

Can't wait to see you again!! :)

I love you.

God bless,

Lindsay

P.S. Thanks Licia for giving me the phrase "you rock" even though i don't add the "my socks" part, i still give you credit

P.P.S. I still need to see "The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants" that'll definately be on the movie list next summer. :) At least I've read the book.... (3:21 AM)
Currently Watching
Puff the Magic Dragon/Gullivers Trave

Okay Lic, I guess i'll tell a pointless story...i have slowed down today though...i got to organize a lot and hang out, so that's all good. That's too bad about Christopher Lic, I'm sorry he's being like that...we'll have to talk soon...actually, a lot of us should talk soon...:( i miss you all! :)

Anyways, now it's time for Pointless Story of the Day #1 for the 2005-2006 School year!!

"Sometimes I wish I had a horse and could gallop through the land like a warrior princess or something...yeah, that would be cool."

There you go! It's the best i could think of at 11:23 at night anyway...I love you all much!!

God bless,

Klink

P.S. I'm not really watching Puff the Magic Dragon, but I thought it'd be funny to put it up there anyway...yeah...aren't i creative? Ignore me...I'm just, well, i don't know, you figure it out....

Hey guys. I don't have much to say, nor do i have much time. This past weekend was awesome- i went home, so i got to see my family and also Shannon (are you sure you don't want to become amish catholic shannon?) and Laura Gardner, it was great fun. Now i'm back at school and incredibally busy once more, so yeah, fun stuff.

Anywho, i really wanted to post today, however, because last night as i was checking my mail, i got an e-mail from a summer staffer to all of us summer staffers. She was saying how she had gotten an e-mail from a girl in one of her small groups who had been hit by the hurricane. The girl and her family are fine and in Atlanta, but their house is completely gone. So, after i read the e-mail, i came back up to my room to check if this girl was one of the 7 kids i knew from LA (i hadn't been able to remember if these kids were the ones from the new orleans area or not). It turns out she was. I got really close to this seven that week, the six girls were all in my girls small group and the boy was around a lot and just the sweetest kid in the world. It makes me so sad to think that even if they're all fine (which hopefully, being middle class, they are), that their whole lives have probably just been wiped out. Now their lives are going to completely different than they were when i met them all at camp. I e-mailed them all, but i don't know if and when i'll hear from any of them. I couldn't concentrate on anything last night after i discovered this. And it's weird cuz it's not even like i knew/know them that well, or even that i was really close to them-only for that one week, but it hits me hard to think about them and what they must be going through. Everytime i think about it (which has been pretty constant the past 12 hours), i get a sick knot in my stomach and my heart just goes out to them. So if you all could please keep especially these 7 kids and their families in your prayers, that would be wonderful. I just can't imagine. The hurricane was hitting me earlier, but it hits me even harder now, so yeah. Just please pray.

Well, i hope you all have a splendiferous week and i can't wait to talk/see you! Love you!

God bless,

Lindsay

Hey girls!

I can't write long as I just figured out how to post cuz i just checked my e-mail, but life here is going great. My freshman are awesome and just a lot of fun. I'm having a program tonight, it's a door deck making party...we're using apple prints (take the apple half, put red paint on it, apply to paper), it will be fun and a lot of my girls are coming. I talked to some camp people last night, which was awesome, i miss them. I also miss you lot! I've been gone almost four weeks! it's crazy. I'm going home for labor day though, so that will be fun, if anyone else is going to be home, let me know!! Umm...i have so much to tell about being an RA and classes and what-not, but alas i must head over to the chapel for mass...I can't wait to hear from you all again! (and maybe see some of you this weekend?) Court- this was an absolutely awesome idea. The site looks awesome and i feel like we're some awesome mysterious group...which as shannon pointed out to me on-line, we kinda are! This will be a great way of keeping in touch though and I love it...it's my homepage . Talk to you all soon and i'll post again soon for the full update! I love you all!!

Love,

Lindsay
