Hey guys!!
I gotta go to dinner soon, as i'm on-call tonight, well, all weekend actually. Things are going pretty good here- insane-but good. i think i'm getting used to the insanity, it reminds me more of the craziness of highschool than my more relaxed year last year. RAing is going well, and the faith based LIFE groups i started are going awesome as well. I'm keeping very busy with classes for sure, which will perhaps get busier as i am very seriously thinking about a double major with pastoral leadership, if not, a double minor with pastoral leadership and special education. i start at my catholic school for one hour a week next monday, yay!! i'm excited. Monday was the worst day ever. I'll tell you about it :). sunday night my eye was really red and pussy, so i thought i might have pink-eye, though it didn't itch. When i found that out, i nearly cried because the next day was already insanely busy between classes, writing a paper, finishing a project and finishing up stuff for LIFE. Then i couldn't sleep well last night, mostly cuz next door was playing classical music and i can't sleep with music at all, i had almost given up at 5 am and gotten up to do homework, but good thing i didn't cuz then i got 4 hours of good sleep. Then i went to the nurse and discovered that i didn't have pink eye (thank goodness). Then classes, and a very stressful day (besides fun LIFE groups). Then i was up til 2:30, woke up at 8:30, classes and what-not- stress over. Then Tuesday night i was on-call and i was stupid and gave myself a virus through AIM even though i know better. So since then i've been working on updating and fixing my computer, which i think is finally fixed. The weekend will be so nice, i can't wait. So, that's my week, i'm get on a six hour of sleep schedule, and getting used to it, i get more done with it. next week looks a lot better. I miss and love you guys and hope you have wonderful weekends!!
God bless,
Lindsay
Pointless Story of the Day #????
I'm glad i don't live in ancient Rome, but at the same time, it would be really cool, i mean, public baths? though, i don't really think i'd want to go to one of those, but all those aquadeucts and cafe's and cool architecture and theater (though that's more the greeks). I don't think i'd like the gods and goddesses though, even though they're cool, cuz i like knowing our God. Anyway, even though it'd be cool to live there, i already kinda do, cuz America is kind of like ancient Rome, i mean we have somewhat the same gov't (republic, democracy, almost the same), same symbols, and even some of the same characteristics that led to the downfall of Rome!! Wait, that's not good...well, ancient Rome is cool, (but i wish we had seven hills, but doesn't the nati??? maybe that's my imagination...)
That would be pointless story number 24! Yay!
ReplyDeleteAnd yes, the Nati does indeed have seven hills: Mount Airy, Mount Adams, Mount Storm, Mount Washington, Mount Lookout, Mount Auburn and Mount Healthy, though they change depending on who you ask. :) And the city was actually named after some emperor of Rome because it has seven hills, just like Rome. Amazing, I know.
