So we had another prenatal appointment yesterday. This time, I had what seemed like a gallon of blood drawn along with the ultrasound. They are basically conducting a whole bunch of tests right now to see if the baby has any developing birth defects that they may need to treat immediately after birth. I'm taking most of these tests with a grain of salt and just basically using the opportunity to see the baby on the ultrasound again! After all the testing, which apparently yields a LOT of false positives, everything looks fine and healthy. They're moving my due date up to January 8th based on the baby's growth...so basically they have no exact idea when the little peanut will decide to surface.
Either way...attached are the pictures of Baby Nistler. The baby was extremely active while we were conducting the ultrasound. At one point, he/she even started sucking their thumb! And his/her little legs were kicking like crazy...the ultrasound tech was slightly annoyed (she kept muttering "Keep Still!" under her breath). Paul commented that our child is already unruly. What can I say? I'm carrying a little rebel.
I really am betting that it is a girl (for no reason in particular). We'll see if I'm right. I'm still trying to convince hubby that we should find out the sex at our next appointment. He's stubborn.
