Our Superiority.

Currently, I am reading a book entitled, "The Girls from Ames, a Story of Women & a Forty Year Friendship." The book is written by a journalist who chronicles the forty year friendship of 11 friends. Although I have found it uplifting and inspiring, (I look forward to the day when we can claim our forty year friendship) I can't help but feel we are MORE than the women described in the book. Of course, I am incredibly and unabashedly biased.

After reading many older entries, evaluating, and over-analyzing (it's what I do, okay?), I understand we have come so far TOGETHER.

Dear beloved YOU,
I want to take the opportunity to thank you for knowing and accepting me for my true authentic self. No other woman will ever know my past and my present self as you do. No man can fill the gaps my heart, between childhood and womanhood----"the precious, incommunicable past." You are my ever constant best friend. I look forward to growing old with you.

LOVE, me.
