Hey Girls!
Just thought I would give you all an update...now that I finally remembered how to log into our blog.
I had my 12-week prenatal appointment yesterday and we are officially DONE with the 1st trimester and all looks good! My hormone levels are exactly where they should be, my uterus has tripled in size, and the baby has a nice, healthy heartbeat. Hooray! I have another ultrasound scheduled for next Tuesday, so I will be posting a picture of the baby for you girls to see!
However, there was a disturbing find yesterday...The Doctor had to check out my boobies during the appointment (an awkward moment) and when she lifted my shirt, the first thing she proclaims is "Oh my! You have two supernumerary nipples!" To which I replied: "Uh....what?" Then she pointed out the two spots I have on my ribcage area, which I had always determined to be white moles. Nope, apparently they are nipples. I immediately thought of Chandler Bing from Friends and his "nubbin." Apparently 5% of the population has extra nipples including, according to my Doctor, Carrie Underwood. So I don't feel so bad. And it's not like they actually look like a nipple. I mean, I thought it was a mole for about 10 years. My super supportive husband commented after the Doctor had left: "Doesn't that make you feel like some sort of freak?" Gee thanks, Honey....Love you too.
Anyway, just wanted to give you girls a little update. I love you all!

I am so glad your bebe is healthy! I have been praying for your pregnancy. I will add that your baby has no extra nipples to my prayers. haha. j/k.

ReplyDeleteWe have in common the fact that any life experience we relate back to something that happened on Friends. Like when I talk about working in fashion and people say "Oh like Rachel on Friends!" Apparently that is where everyone gets their info about working in the fashion industry. EVERYONE.
