Hello Girls!
About a week ago if you had asked me how I was feeling, my description may have included the words "energetic," "happy," and "excited." This week is a completely different story.
I literally woke up Sunday morning with the most horrible pains beginning in my groin and streaking through my legs and lower back. I could barely walk and had difficulty reaching a sitting position without taking at least 15 minutes of small, ginger movements to accomplish the task. I had about 30 tylenol tablets for breakfast and felt better a couple hours later. Until the drugs wore off, that is.
Two days later, the pains are still here and as severe as ever. I feel like a complete slug at work and have become one of those people who emails the co-worker down the hall instead of walking 10 feet. Sometimes it hurts to do absolutely nothing.
At my appointment this morning, my doctor said it is all a result of round ligament stretching due to increased pressure from both the weight of the baby and the massive size of the uterus. She also said to expect it to get worse before it gets better. Her only consolation was that it will disappear immediately after the baby is born. In response to this new knowledge, I looked down at my protruding belly and told my unborn son "Get Out!" Now, I know it is much too early for him to be born and all...but 8 more weeks seems like an awfully long time. And what if I'm late?!? I will be one grumpy, miserable mama.
I have reached the point where I can officially say "I am sick of being pregnant!"
Sorry for the rant. Lately, I feel all I do is complain. Paul would probably agree with that.
I love you all! I can't wait to see most of you over Thanksgiving....just a little over 2 weeks!
Love,
Monica
Ouch. :( I hope it somehow goes away soon! (without a premature baby of course) I'm sending lots of love your way!
