I received a sizable scholarship to work in the legal non-profit sector and so...I am moving to New York City the first week in June. I am going to live in Manhattan (Midtown East near Gramercy Park) with 1.6 million other people.
A grand juxtaposition: I will work for victims of violence and social injustice just a block from the NY Stock Exchange.
I am pushed out of my comfort zone into the brink of a big adventure and it feels exhilarating and simultaneously terrifying.
The west of my future has met me at my front door, politely knocked twice, and then started loudly beating. Gladly, I woke up and answered----NYC or bust.
Oh my gosh! This is so exciting! New York is going to be such an adventure plus I know this internship is right up your alley. I'm so proud of you and so excited that you have this opportunity!
