Geocaching

After many busy weeks, Cliff and I decided to have a weekend to just relax and have fun. He told me about 2 weeks ago that he had a surprise activity for our weekend. I wasn't sure what to expect, but his surprises are usually pretty creative. I was intrigued.
One of the apps on my Blackberry Playbook is a GPS-related device that lists where people have hidden "caches." These are boxes of various sizes containing a log book and other little items. It is a challenge to find these hidden items using GPS coordinates and clues listed on the site. I love hiking and wandering around Indy, so it was a lot of fun! The picture above is a cache we found, but we have not yet cracked the code to open all the locks.
If you have a GPS, you could partake in this activity. It makes for a fun group project. Caches are hidden in cities all over the world. Hopefully you enjoyed this random adventure of sorts. Let me know if you ever try this yourself. http://www.geocaching.com/

Also, my friend is having a murder mystery cocktail birthday party. We are going to be in the theme of a 1920's speakeasy. I am interested in seeing how this works. It could be a fun thing to do the next time we get together. I hope all of you are doing well. Miss you!!!

Love,
Andrea

  1. I've heard of geocaching before; Highlife actually used to do it as an event. How cool you guys did it! I'll have to try it myself sometime. Also, I agree that we should do a murder mystery party. My friend threw one once and it was a blast!

  2. Andrea, I wish Paul was as creative as Cliff at coming up with fun activities for us to do! I would love to give that a try sometime! Sounds awesome. :)
