Good morning dear friends, I realized I have been not good with posting. I hope you are all doing well. I miss you all and constantly pray for your safeness and well being. Time sure does fly. I can't believe it is into November already.
We are doing well. I love my job and am excited everyday to see my babies. They keep me on my feet as they seek out their curiosity, which usually causes them to get into trouble or hurt themselves. I stay busy! I am very thankful that I was led towards this job. I have a learned a great deal and continue to learn everyday! I have 7 babies that range from 4 months to almost a year old. I caught on very quickly to how things work in the nursery and have familiarized myself with their eating habits/schedule. When we are not feeding or changing them, this is my play time! I work with the babies to help them pull up on their own, encourage them to crawl, sing to them, talk to them..basically get down on the floor and have FUN! We had one baby the other day that was pushing around a walker and he was having the time of his life. This really helps a baby learn to walk. In fact when we took it away from him, he got mad!
We are having a change at our daycare. We have a waiting list of babies and so we are opening up another nursery room within our facility. This will be a room that has 4 smaller infant babies. One of our little boys will be moved to that room. The two co-workers that I am with right now (one in the a.m., other in p.m.) will each be on their own in that room. We follow a ratio that for every 4 babies, there needs to be only 1 staff member. I will be still be in my current room, but with a different co-worker. We have the bigger room for the older babies who are mobile. My boss plans on opening the new nursery the Monday of Thanksgiving. I am sure it will be a good change and something that will help our nursery grow :) The one thing that I am working on getting better at is having my nose adapt to poopy diapers! Everytime I do one, I have to spray a scent spray that we have from bath and body. Thank goodness for it, lol.
Jordan has continued to make progress with his pharmacy school application. His three letters of recommendation have been sent in and last week he worked on a personal essay. Everything has now been sent in and he is working on studying for his pcat exam-Jan 10th. He received a powerpoint about important information from the director of student services through the school, which he has been in contact with for the last 2 years. If they are interested in interviewing him, they will call and set up for a campus meet in January. FYI: applicants have until March 1 to apply. Then between April and May is when he will find out. If he is accepted, orientation is 4 days at the beginning of August and classes start Aug 13, I believe. The school is working on getting acreditted (through 85% of the process) and it will be 100% after the first class graduates in 2016. Please try and keep him in your prayers. He wants to get in and pursue his dream. I pray and have good thoughts about this, but have to prepare myself both ways. Currently he is doing okay at his job but can't stand certain aspects of it and is looking forward to the day he can leave. I feel bad that he has to go through this when I am enjoying my job. Sigh. He pushes himself and does what he needs to do. That company has no idea what they are going to lose when he leaves. They rely on him to do more than he needs to and in the end it is going to be bad for them!
Have a beautiful fall weekend. May God bless you.
With love
