Welcome Sophie Ella Walberry!
Hi girls! Jordan and I on Saturday adopted a stray dog that was found in South Bend. A couple living in the country found her walking in their yard and brought her into the vet clinic where Pam Mahlie works. They are still living in Granger, IN. The couple already has two dogs and a cat so they couldn't keep her. Pam knew that we were thinking of getting a dog but wasn't sure due to the very small yard we have and our hosue being kind of small. Pam notified my mom and we went to visit the dog. She is a border collie, somewhere between 6-9 months. She has the sweetest personality and seems to like me more than Jordan and we are not sure why. She has been a little quiet these past few days but she is starting to show a little more personality. With her being used to the quiet of the country side, it was a struggle at first to get her to go the bathroom outside, but I think we are getting over the hurdle and she is discovering that despite the noise, it's ok. Along with that hurdle she never was on a leash, so we are working on that as well. The next place that we rent or if we decide to buy we are getting a place with a fenced in yard. When Jordan comes home from work, I'll see if he can show me how to post a picture on here of her. She has the sweetest face ever and if you make a sound she tilts her head back and forth. Its so cute.
Jordan is continuing to like his new job at the Ecolab plant in Huntington. He has been there a month and two days now. This Sunday he will start working third shift. I am glad that I will not be alone now when he is gone during the night.
Work is going good. My spring break is coming up..April 6-10. I am not sure what my plans are of yet, other than possibly visiting the dentist.
Thank you girls for your continuing praying for me and my mom. We are doing as best as we can. This is only the beginning of what seems like will be a long first year ahead of us. Keeping all of you in my daily prayers and wishing nothing but the best for each of you.
Have a great day
Love each of you,
Lyss
