Hello my loves,
so I thought I'd do a little updating here as I'm feeling kind of lonely and sad right now (that's what I get for spending the past 6 hours reading The Road).
My relationship with Ben has ended. I'm sad because it's over but hopeful for the future. I just couldn't handle dragging our relationship around anymore, I was the only one trying to make it work, and he just wasn't treating me like I was very important to him, and after almost a year of dating that was pretty unacceptable.
So, in conjunction with this new-found singleness, I'm also done with classes until August. I'm still working in technical services and once the fiscal year ends (which if you didn't know it will do the 30 of June, fiscal years are funny like that) I'm going to ask for more hours a week. But still, I'm pretty much doing nothing with my time.
I'm going to prove myself to be a decent gluten-free baker; I'm doing a trial-run this week and subjecting my friends here to the gluten-free baking so if it does taste like tree bark again I can fix it before I make Dport eat my cookies.
Also, I seriously really did just sit down tonight and read all of The Road by Cormac McCarthy. It was amazing, beautiful and tragic, and graphic as hell. Loved it.
Also, I plan to do some traveling this summer. I'll probably end up in Chicago soon (expect me Shan). And then I think I'm going to roadtrip out towards Erie, PA a little later in July. Hooray for roadtripping!
If you're ever thinking about heading toward Bloomington, let me know. I'd love to see you all and as I've actually become social (weird I know) I have lots of places I can take you.
But call me anytime, I love hearing from you guys.
peace & love,
Court
I'm happy to hear that you are social! And that you plan on coming to visit! I'm really sorry to hear about you and Ben. If you want someone to talk to don't hesitate to call me.
ReplyDeleteI'm sorry to hear about you and Ben, but I want you to know that I am so proud of you for owning your own needs and wants. It's not an easy thing to do.
ReplyDeleteFeel like shipping these Gluten-free cookies to Texas? lol I'd love to be your taste-tester, but I don't think it would be very feasable.
Love you and miss you!
YAY for gluten free cookies! Also, I pulled a seventh grade girl move and de-friended Ben on facebook. muahhaa! :)
