So I don't know how many of you I've told about this, but - my mom got a Lilly Grant this summer. This is a grant that allows teachers to do personal enrichment during the summer (I think that's about it, you guys probably already know about this stuff)
I'm pretty proud of her. She's traveling a route of the Underground Railroad and visiting sites and looking for fabric so she can make signal quilts, which were quilts that may or may not have been used by slaves as signals on the Underground Railroad.
My parents are leaving tomorrow and spending 2 weeks on the road.
