It is currently 6:12pm Central Standard Time. I have much to get done in the 47 minutes before I clock out but I am choosing to post an update instead.

I cannot exactly remember where I left off in the life of Shannon, so if I repeat things I apologize. I met a boy over Halloween weekend. He's a nice guy and we went on a few dates, but I just wasn't feeling it for him. The first boy who actually keeps pursuing me and he's the one that I am not interested in. Karma. I sent him the I just want to be friends text last night and he took it well.
Amy and Dave have decided to move the wedding up to August 2010, which was a good decision. A two year engagement probably would have been too stressfull for them. And it solves the predicament of will or won't Amy and I renew our lease. As for what I will do come June of 2010 I am still very uncertain. I have not given up on the possible year-long London internship, but am more and more deciding to hold off on this. I am not ready to give up on Chicago. I am thinking about grad school in the next few years, and would like to possibly do this in London. So the tentative plan I am leaning toward is Chicago until summer 2011 and then abroad for grad school. Who knows though - perhaps in the meantime things will fall into place. I am thinking about asking my awesome friend Kate if she wants to be roomies next year. I also am trying to figure out my career goals - even just casually searching for jobs I can never find ANYTHING that is what I want to do and this frustrates me. I can see the jobs out there I like but I cannot figure out how the people employed in them got there. My current job is going fine; nothing new or different here - except for a new coworker who is pretty cool. I would like to get my masters in communications, pr, something like that. The idea I like the most is something along the lines of event management or event planning with a focus in fashion promotions.
It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas. I have many fun Thanksgiving and Christmas related celebrations coming up and I am quite excited. Ames and I are decorating the apartment this weekend - we had to set aside a time to do so and put it in our BlackBerry calendars as we are always busy - usually at opposite times. Many Christmas presents to buy this year - and while I do love giving gifts, it puts a strain on my already tight budget.
Oh - of you did not know, my mom has been very sick. She was in the hospital for a few days. She is doing better but keep her in your thoughts and prayers please.
