Lucy and I went to the preliminaries of the International Violin Competition of Indianapolis yesterday. We have been waiting a year and a half to see this competition, and it exceeded my expectations. This event is the only event in North America recognized by the WFIMC, and it brings talent from all over the world.
If you would like to watch live or archived performances you can check it out at www.violin.org. Stephanie Jeong and Boson Mo are some of my favorites so far. Hope you enjoy it!
Love,
Andrea
That sounds awesome! Thanks for sharing, Andrea!
ReplyDeleteVery cool. I'll have to break out my headphones and give some of thee performances a listen :)
ReplyDeleteCliff and I went to the finals, too. After the competition, they had a listening experiment with Stradivarius violins compared to present-day violins. It was very entertaining :)
