Evansville here we come

But before you get too excited, I still don't know if I'll have a job when I get there.

Out interviews went pretty well. My story time went all right, though it would have been better if I had had children who were actually 3 to 5 there instead of 2 years old. My story time did not have the appropriate elements for a toddler story time so the kids weren't exactly enthralled (though they all did the sign language at the end when we sang "The More We Get Together").

They librarians apologized for the mix up in ages saying that they had invited a number of families but didn't know who would come. And I completely understand that, I just hope it doesn't count against me. The interview afterwards was just kind of weird. They didn't have any questions prepared for me but instead asked me first thing if I had any questions for them. That kind of threw me for a loop since I had been expecting more interview questions or questions about my story time and had not prepared with a number of questions to ask them.

Kyle's interview went really really well. The manager and assistant manager at his branch took both of us out for lunch and told me that Kyle's interview went "really well". I basically knew he had the job, but Kyle wasn't so sure. They called later that night to offer him the position. It's still pending criminal background check for the official offer but he starts on March 28. We've already put in our 30 days notice with the apartment and Kyle gave notice at his work. I'm feeling guilty so I didn't tell Jacob's dad last night, but I'll tell him today.

My position still has two more interviews but not until next week. They said that I would hear from them probably end of next week. I'm hopeful since we know for sure that one of the other 2 candidates has no experience with children. But I don't want to get my hopes up too high.

Please keep the good karma, good thoughts, and prayers headed my way.

much love,

Court
