Hello friends,
I wanted to give an update with Jordan's pharmacy school progress. He took the PCAT Jan 10 and was glad to get it over with. He did very well. He was able to walk away with a percentile ranking in each category he tested on and also an overall percentile for all of the U.S. He just got an email Friday saying that his scores and essay questions have been scored and are official.
Now comes the part that upsetted both Jordan and me. Ever since finding out about this program, Jordan has been in constant contact with several faculty members and making sure that everything would work out for him to get into this program, since he isn't currently enrolled at Manchester. He had been told back then that he wouldn't need to enroll in one of the prerequisite classes- stats. The other higher level classes he took instead would be fine. Well, just this past week he was being told that he needed to be enrolled in a stats class to even be considered. We thought right then that he had been screwed and wouldn't get the opportunity. He dealt with this before with Purdue. I have been praying and hoping that this wouldn't happen to him again. Immediately he sent out an email questioning what was happening. He may be okay now as long as he can find an online stats class to get completed by Aug 6 (same day that orientation will start). I am still trying to figure out how this all happened when Jordan clearly did his homework in making sure everything checked out way ahead of schedule.
So for now we are still waiting to hear on an interview and see if he can find a class (he has sent out emails to many universities and colleges). Prayers continually needed! I want him to get this opportunity.
Nursery life is still going wonderful. Only 3 babies are still under one, one not for long though. It has been a blessing to see them grow from when I first came in Aug. Right now I am considering the possibility of still searching for a teaching job, if one would become available and only with the catholic schools. I think I would be truly happy there. If that doesn't work, then I'll still have the nursery and we will then figure out the next step of work once we know about Jordan. I am also thinking of trying to add early childhood onto my license, which would then help link with my current job.
Other than that, we are doing fine and Sophie continues being lazy!
Missing you all
Love, Elyssa
